Dryer Cause Of Fairborn House Fire

FAIRBORN, Ohio -- A home in Fairborn caught fire Wednesday and investigators said it appears a dryer started the blaze.Authorities said a person in the home on Hillrose Place tried to douse the flames themselves, but was unsuccessful and had to call the fire department.

Firefighters put out the blaze and then rescued several cats. They are urging other homeowners to be careful when using dryers.

Chief Mike Riley said people need to check the lint trap and those types of things.
Authorities said no one was injured in the fire.
