RUTH — Most people are aware that indoor air pollution is an issue of growing concern, especially for people suffering from allergies or asthma. And that’s exactly what led a local couple to start a business to help other homeowners find a way to breathe easier indoors.

Ken and Gwen Gentner of Ruth are the owners of Arctic Air, a business they started April 17 when they bought an established business called Country Air. The couple said their daughter suffers from asthma and they were customers of Country Air, which cleaned their air ducts four years ago. They said it provided incredible results of air quality inside their home and made quite the difference for both them and their daughter. . . . . . . .

. . . . . . . . “We also clean dryer vents, which can be a fire hazard because build-up gets packed in there so tight and can ruin the heating unit. We clean that out,” Ken Gentner said.

“I know before we cleaned ours out I thought we were going to have to replace the dryer, it was taking so long to dry anything. Now that it’s clean, a half hour and I have a whole load of towels dry. You’d be amazed the difference it makes when they’re cleaned out,” Gwen Gentner said.
