Couple Escapes House Fire
March 20, 2006 06:33 PM EDT
A woman wakes up just in time Sunday morning to get to
safety. She woke up to the smell of smoke and saw fire inside
her home on Royster Road.
She and her husband were able to get out of the home without
injury. Investigators believe the fire began near the couple's
dryer vent.
The home suffered heavy smoke and fire damage, but it isn't
a complete loss. Still the couple will have to find somewhere
else to stay tonight. They were able to get a few valuable items
from the home.
We talked to the daughter of that couple tonight. She says her
parents lived in the house 58 years. They moved in on the day
they got married.
